Creating the space for you to Heal, Connect, and Flourish
Meet our founder and director: Patricia Locklear McGlothlin
Patricia Locklear McGlothlin is an accomplished and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor, licensed in the state of Florida. She holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University, where she graduated with high distinction. Prior to that, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a concentration in Child Development and a minor in Studio Arts, from the University of North Florida, graduating summa cum laude.
Currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at Liberty University, Patricia remains deeply committed to expanding her clinical expertise and advancing the counseling profession. Her research interests include marriage, divorce, and the intersection of mental health and relationships.
In addition to her clinical practice, Patricia has served as an Assistant Professor for graduate-level counseling students at Liberty University and continues to mentor the next generation of mental health professionals as a clinical supervisor. She is passionate about shaping competent, ethical, and compassionate counselors through education and hands-on guidance.
Patricia brings a wealth of diverse experience, having worked, volunteered, and interned with various nonprofit organizations both domestically and internationally. Her work has included trauma recovery, disaster relief, and supporting families in crisis—experiences that have profoundly shaped her clinical focus. She has a particular passion for supporting women through the transitions of motherhood and helping couples build stronger, healthier relationships. She has led numerous therapeutic groups for women, children, and couples to foster emotional, relational, and spiritual wellness.
As a relationship-centered therapist, Patricia specializes in healing and strengthening connections—whether within marriages, partnerships, or the individual’s relationship with self. She is trained in a wide array of modalities including Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and attachment-based approaches. Her joy lies in helping individuals and couples find restoration, growth, and peace.
Patricia’s therapeutic approach is eclectic, holistic, and personalized. She does not believe in a one-size-fits-all model and instead crafts each counseling experience around the unique needs of her clients. Drawing from a robust clinical toolbox, she integrates empirically-supported techniques including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), mindfulness practices, somatic and movement-based interventions, breathwork, solution-focused techniques, narrative therapy, and expressive arts. She also incorporates coaching frameworks including life, career, dating, and relationship coaching—meeting clients wherever they are on their journey.
Her experience spans working with children, adolescents, and adults—providing therapy to individuals, couples, and families. She is well-versed in treating a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, ADHD, relationship and boundary challenges, career transitions, and women’s mental health. She also specializes in prenatal and postnatal mental health, betrayal trauma, and counseling across the dating, premarital, and marital relationship spectrum.
Patricia is also pleased to offer Christian-integrated counseling for clients who desire to incorporate their Christian faith into the therapeutic process. As a culturally sensitive clinician, she is honored to work with individuals from a variety of backgrounds, belief systems, and worldviews.
Outside of her professional life, Patricia embraces adventure and creativity. She enjoys spending time with her loved ones and engaging in outdoor activities like paddle-boarding, one-wheeling, rollerblading, horseback riding, and yoga. She is also passionate about the arts—singing, dancing, painting, and playing the ukulele.
